We are looking for an afternoon guide for our after-school club
5. 6. 2026
Part-time position (0.5 FTE)
We’re looking for a new colleague to join our team at Montessori Andílek schools in Prague as an afternoon guide in our after-school club for children aged 6 to 12.
We’re looking for someone who loves working with children, enjoys being creative, being outdoors, organizing meaningful activities, and creating an environment where children feel safe, free, and happy after school.
Who we are
We are the Montessori Andílek schools. We guide children from a children’s group through kindergarten to elementary school. We believe children grow best in an environment where they experience trust, respect, freedom, and responsibility.
We’re not just a school. We’re a community of people who together create an environment where both children and adults can grow.
What to expect
Every afternoon is a little different. You’ll create an environment where children rest, create, play, do sports, explore the world around them, and build relationships after school.
Your role will mainly include:
- preparing afternoon activities based on your talents and interests,
- arts and crafts, sports, outdoor time, board games, or projects,
- supporting safe relationships among children,
- guiding children toward independence and responsibility,
- collaborating with other educators,
- taking care of the prepared environment and shared spaces,
- covering for colleagues according to an agreed schedule.
We use our own sports facilities, nearby parks, and forests close by. Time outdoors is a natural part of our afternoons.
Working hours are usually from 2:45 PM to 5:15 PM, and from 12:45 PM on Fridays.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who:
- has a background in education, qualification as a leisure-time educator, or a related field,
- can be both kind and consistent,
- enjoys creating and organizing activities or coming up with new ideas,
- enjoys movement, being outdoors, and staying active,
- can respond flexibly to unexpected situations,
- is a team player,
- can communicate in English at a conversational level,
- has excellent command of Czech.
Experience working with children, scouting, summer camps, sports, or hobby activities is an advantage. This position is also suitable for someone without extensive experience, or for people on maternity or parental leave.
What we offer
We offer meaningful work with children in a respectful environment, where you’ll have space to bring your own ideas, talents, and energy to the afternoon program.
With us, you’ll find:
- a friendly and supportive team,
- great freedom in creating the program and activities,
- methodological guidance from experienced colleagues,
- the opportunity to connect with the international Montessori community,
- an environment that supports both professional and personal growth,
- coffee, tea, and a salad bar every day,
- a wellness contribution,
- 8 weeks of vacation and sick days.
