We’re looking for a new colleague to join our teaching team at Montessori Andílek schools in Prague, working with children in grades 1–5 of elementary school.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with children aged 6 to 12, who can be both kind and consistent, and who believes every child can succeed with a supportive adult by their side.
Who we are
We are the Montessori Andílek schools. We guide children from a children’s group through kindergarten to elementary school. We create an environment where children grow into independent, responsible, and respectful individuals.
Our school is built on an authentic Montessori approach, collaboration, trust, and continuous professional growth. We’re part of the wider Montessori community and operate under the auspices of the Montessori Institute Prague.
What to expect
You’ll become part of the teaching team in one of our grade 1–5 classrooms. Your main role will be providing daily support to a child with special educational needs during their schoolwork.
Your role will mainly include:
- supporting the child during and outside of lessons,
- helping with reading, writing, math, and organizing work,
- collaborating with lead teachers, the special education teacher, and the school psychologist,
- supporting children during lunch and leisure activities,
- taking care of the prepared environment and shared spaces,
- participating in meetings, training, and the school’s collective development.
The working day usually starts at 7:45 AM.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who:
- holds a qualification as a teaching assistant, has a background in education, or in special education,
- has excellent command of Czech,
- can communicate in English at a conversational level,
- communicates with children respectfully and calmly,
- can be both kind and consistent,
- can set clear boundaries for children while supporting their independence,
- is open to further education and professional growth,
- basic knowledge of special education is an advantage.
This position is also suitable for someone without extensive experience, as long as they’re willing to learn and work as part of a team.

Contract type: employment contract
Salary: CZK 38,500 gross
Contract term: fixed-term for the first year, with the possibility of extension to an indefinite contract by mutual agreement
