Night Rocket Launch – A Webinar with Viliam Oniščenko

24. 03. 2026

About webinar

Most of us have only seen a rocket launch on a screen. But what is it like to stand in the middle of the night just a few kilometres from the launch pad and watch the sky light up with the flame of rocket engines? What does a rocket launch sound like in real life, and what do you feel when the ground beneath your feet begins to tremble?

We invite you to a webinar led by Viliam Oniščenko, an 8th-grade student in the Adolescent Programme at Montessori Schools Andílek. Viliam loves natural sciences, space exploration and travelling. With his characteristic enthusiasm, he can turn his experiences into engaging storytelling full of humour, suspense and surprising details.

During his recent journey, he had the opportunity to visit Cape Canaveral and watch a night rocket launch directly from the sea while standing on a boat. He will share this unusual experience in a way that will make you feel as if you were standing there with him.

Come and listen to a story about space, travel and the courage to follow one’s passion.

Why You Should Join

During the webinar you will discover:

  • what a night rocket launch really looks and feels like — the light, the sound and the physical sensation

  • what makes Kennedy Space Center such a fascinating place

  • personal impressions from watching a rocket launch from a boat

  • what a young person notices differently compared to traditional media reports

The webinar is open to the general public, parents from the Andílek community, and students who are interested in science, space and the world “beyond the horizon.”
Viliam will share authentic experiences, personal stories and leave space for your questions.
